The skiregion Dachstein Krippenstein starts the 2024/25 winter season on 21 December 2024.
The Dachstein Krippenstein in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut region boasts an exciting outdoor programme - far removed from the mainstream. On the ski slopes, the Dachstein Krippenstein shines with special skiing qualities - easy slopes for warming up and learning to ski on the mountain and in the valley, in between the challenging and, at nine kilometres, one of the longest runs in Upper Austria!
A ski touring Eldorado also awaits you on the Dachstein plateau. From relaxed half-day tours to ski tours lasting several days, there is something for everyone. And if you want to take it a little easier, you can explore the Dachstein Krippenstein on snowshoes. The three marked snowshoe trails and winter hiking paths lead to the 5fingers, the World Heritage Spiral and the Dachstein Shark.
The Dachstein Krippenstein is also a hotspot for freeriders. Rough rocky ridges, varied slopes and selective forest routes demand stamina and concentration. More than 30 kilometres of freeride variants and powder routes await you.
